Opposites

I don't really know what type of writing this is.  I'm thinking that it might turn into a picture book.  I was thinking about writing a picture book inspired by the book Black and White by David Macaulay.  I was thinking about writing something that shows the different perspectives of my children on an everyday event.

  1. I think this would make a great picture book. You could have one side be him and the other side of the picture book be her. I like your ending also. It would make a great last sentence to your picture book.

  2. I love your comparisons!!! I agree that this would make a great picture book - and what a treasure it would be for you and for your kids when they get older!!! You do such a good job using descriptive words (deepest brown, etc)!!!

  3. This will become a good picture book as well as a great present for your children to show your love and care to them! A suggestion would be to put everything in chronological order so that you can compare their differences growing up and show readers "the opposite." Another suggestion would be show similarities between them at the end not only from your point of view but also in terms of being in a family or being siblings.

  4. I agree, I think this would make a great picture book that would appeal to adults as well as kids. As a mom it is amazing to me how different my children are (and how different my sisters and I are) even though we grew up in the same house with the same parents.
